"Large Amphibian" - (SJ21.20)
SculptJanuary is an event that aims to encourage artists to sculpt more by providing them with 31 topics to complete during the month of January. It is organized by CG Boost.
There are no prizes involved, but it can make you a better sculptor.
In 2021 I completed all 31 topics - most in January, a few in February.
"Large Amphibian" was the topic of SculptJanuary 2021 Day 20.
Starting from a sphere I tried to sculpt the basic forms of a toad...
I made the legs by masking what I already had...
...and dragging them out with the Snake Hook brush...over and over...the front legs first...
...then also the hind legs in the same way.
A lot of fingers all together...
...and a very big mouth...
...and huge eyeballs...
...all that made a not so pretty boy!
...Moreover, completely covered in pimples!
I imported that scared little dog from Day 8 to make the toad look more impressive.
The amphibian also got some color now...
...and very creepy eyes.
